Tandem skydives are terrific for
learning about skydiving, but they aren't just for students.
Many people go through life saying "I would just once, like to see what a
skydive feels like." With a tandem skydive, you don't have to wonder;
you can do it. We've had tandem skydive passengers 18 to 92 years of age at
our dropzone; just about anyone can skydive in a tandem experience.

Our camera flyers
will record your jump to broadcast quality media,
and deliver a DVD of your jump once you're back on
the ground. We can even post your video to the
Internet for easy sharing with friends. |
During the
skydive, you'll have the opportunity to enjoy a freefall
beginning at approximately 13,500 feet for around 60
seconds, and if you wish, you may help pilot the parachute
to a very soft landing on the earth.
If this is your first skydive, you'll probably want a video or photos of the
experience, and we can provide this service as well.

After your training, you'll board Utah's fastest skydiving
aircraft for your skydive. Family and friends are invited
to come with you to watch. We have a large spectator area.
Plan on wearing shoes or boots with no eyelets on them, and if you have long
hair, either braid it or we'll help you contain it with a "frap" hat as
pictured to the right.
The
tandem harness attaches your body to the tandem instructor
at four points.
In this skydive, you'll be trained prior to the skydive,
but the basics are these:
~Bellybutton
~Breathe
~Banana |
The tandem instructor will show you how you both will
approach the door, and you will then lean your head
against his shoulder, poking your bellybutton forward.
Then, you'll breathe. Breathing is very important (Yes,
you're able to breathe during the skydive).
Finally, once you've exited the aircraft, you'll put your
body into an arch, much like the shape of a banana. The
instructor will signal you when it's time to relax and
hold the position that you're taught on the ground prior
to the skydive.

here to view the training video for your first tandem
skydive. You'll view the video again when you arrive at
the dropzone for your training prior to the skydive.

After
completing the skydive, you'll receive a logbook that is a great keepsake,
but also explains more about the skydive, and what to expect should you
desire to continue as a skydiving student and graduate. Your tandem master
will log the skydive for you, and sign off on the dive with his USPA license
number.
Then you can move on to your
SECOND Tandem if you'd like to continue moving
forward.
The most
important thing for everyone to remember prior to, and
during your first skydive is:
HAVE FUN!! |
